Wigs

  

SCCR has a selection of synthetic wigs in various styles, lengths and colors, which are available to be borrowed by persons experiencing hair loss as a result of cancer treatment. This type of wig was chosen because it is very easy to care for.  Included in the service is a complimentary styling by Karen Keam, our hair replacement specialist, a wig care kit and a drying rack.

 

Hats & Turbans

 Volunteers in the area sew hats and turbans in different styles and colors and these are given to clients who are undergoing treatment for cancer.  SCCR has hats in both winter and summer styles and fabrics.

 

Resource Computer

 The computer in the Resource Library is available for persons to do research about cancer or to view the selection of CD-ROMS on cancer topics that are available.
